FibroScan®
Fibroscan is a painless and non-invasive tool for quantification of liver fibrosis and steatosis. The device measures the ultrasound attenuation which corresponds to the decrease in amplitude of ultrasound waves as they propagate through the liver. It is also computed simultaneously to liver stiffness. The examination is quick and easy. It usually takes about 15 minutes.

Clients need to fast at least 3 hours (water is allowed)

Clients will lie down on the exam bed with his/her right arm raised behind his/her head.

Measurements will be made on the right lobe of the liver between the ribs.

The examination usually takes around 15 minutes.
